Jiri Kulich

20-Year-Old CenterC
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Taken with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, Kulich got his first taste of NHL action when he registered a shot and a hit over 14:53 of ice time Nov. 25, but where he really turned some heads last season was in the AHL. He provided 45 points, including a team-high 27 goals, in 57 outings with Rochester. The 20-year-old is entering training camp with a shot of making the Sabres' Opening Night roster, and even if he falls short of that position, it wouldn't be surprising to see Kulich end up with the Sabres at some point during 2024-25 as an injury replacement. Lights lamp twice in win
CBuffalo Sabres
March 28, 2025
Kulich scored two goals in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Penguins.
ANALYSIS
Both goals came in the second period, but they came against different goalies as Kulich helped chase Tristan Jarry from the game before greeting Alex Nedeljkovic with a tally midway through the frame. Kulich is up to 14 goals and 21 points over 51 appearances in his first full NHL campaign, and the 20-year-old is beginning to look like a bit of a steal as the No. 28 overall selection in 2022.

Might return Tuesday
CBuffalo Sabres
March 25, 2025
Kulich might play Tuesday versus Ottawa after missing four straight games due to a concussion, per Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald.
ANALYSIS
Kulich has 12 goals and 19 points in 49 appearances in 2024-25. The Sabres are expected to be without Jordan Greenway, Sam Lafferty and Josh Norris due to lower body, groin and undisclosed injuries, respectively, so if Kulich is out too, then Buffalo would either need to recall a forward from the minors or dress seven defensemen.
