2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bratt reached a new career high in the 2024-25 campaign with 88 points, but he’s also been consistent, supplying over 20 goals and 70 points in each of the past four years. Still just 27 years old and with no recent injury history, the good times should continue to roll for quite a while. One evolution is Bratt’s production becoming increasingly tethered to the power play. In 2021-22, he had 18 power-play points -- at the time a career high -- but that’s increased over the last few years, including 34 power-play points last season. The Devils have plenty of effective weapons to play on the top unit alongside Bratt like Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier and Dougie Hamilton, so New Jersey should continue to stay effective on special teams after finishing third with a 28.2 power-play success rate last season. Another 80-plus point campaign is a reasonable expectation for Bratt. Read Past Outlooks
Goes off for five points
Bratt tallied a goal, distributed four assists and put two shots on net in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Capitals.
ANALYSIS
Bratt was one of two players for New Jersey to record five points in Thursday's outing, joining his linemate Jack Hughes. Bratt did most of his damage from late in the first period and beyond, as he played a hand in all of New Jersey's final five goals in the contest. Overall, the 27-year-old winger is up to 20 goals, 46 assists, 162 shots on net, 67 hits and 24 blocked shots through 75 games this season. He's been on fire since the Olympics with 25 points over his last 18 games, which is tied for eighth in the NHL. Fantasy managers who were patient with the nine-year NHL veteran are being rewarded down the stretch, as Bratt is now on pace to secure 70 or more points in each of his last five seasons. He has elite fantasy value for the remainder of the regular season.

Bratt contributed 27 goals and 83 points in 82 contests in 2023-24, making it the third consecutive campaign in which he's surpassed the 25-goal and 70-point milestones. The 26-year-old also set a career high in shots with 248, though his shooting percentage dipped to 10.9 compared to his career average of 12.3 and his 2022-23 finish of 15.1. It's important to note that he didn't increase that shot total by making a lot of garbage attempts -- he had 17 long-range shots in 2023-24 compared to 18 the previous year -- and his high-danger shooting percentage also dropped to 16.7 percent last campaign from 20.3 percent in 2022-23, so perhaps he just had some bad puck luck. What that means is Bratt has the potential to see his goal total increase next season, if he can match his 2023-24 level of shot volume. Either way, he's a strong bet to record over 70 points for the fourth straight year.
