After two straight years of shooting above 18 percent, the question with Neighbours is if he can continue to sustain that level. The good news is that he can do more than he did in 2024-25, when he posted 22 goals, 24 assists, 122 shots on net, 173 hits, 56 PIM and 56 blocked shots. Neighbours is a power forward, so while his offense is unlikely to ever elevate into the elite tier, he should continue to be able to regularly reach the 20-goal and 50-point marks while adding plenty of hits and PIM. The Blues don't need to patch many holes in free agency, so it'll be on Neighbours to make enough of an improvement in 2025-26 to stay in a top-six role on a full-time basis. Neighbours will need to be a bit more selfish, as he doesn't benefit from being selective with a strong shot. Following a slow start, the 22-year-old forward began to contribute offensively in bunches before finishing the campaign with seven tallies and three helpers in his final 12 appearances. Neighbours sat out five contests to conclude the season but should be ready for training camp. He will receive every opportunity to continue his upward trajectory in 2024-25 while occupying a spot in the top six and seeing plenty of time on the man advantage. Neighbours could lead St. Louis in goals, and with a little more consistency, he may flirt with the 50-point plateau during the upcoming campaign.
