ANALYSIS
Ahcan will face an uphill battle when it comes to securing a spot on the Predators' blue line. The 29-year-old played in just 11 regular-season games for Colorado in 2025-26, notching two assists, six hits and eight shots. Even if he does make Nashville's roster out of training camp, Ahcan doesn't offer enough offensive upside or category coverage to be worth taking in most fantasy formats.

Ahcan got into just two regular-season games with the Avalanche in 2024-25, but the club appears to be satisfied with how he’s performed at the AHL level, as the 5-foot-8 blueliner inked a one-year, two-way contract over the summer. Ahcan’s offensive output has increased in each of the last four campaigns in the minors -- he supplied five goals, 41 points and a plus-6 rating over 69 regular-season outings with AHL Colorado last year. However, he’s never been able to establish himself as a regular at the NHL level, and it’s unlikely that will change at this stage of the 28-year-old’s career.
