The Avalanche entered the 2024-25 campaign with forwards unavailable, which created an opportunity for Ivan. However, he ended up logging just 40 regular-season outings with Colorado despite appearing in each of the first 37 games. When all was done, Ivan had five goals, eight points, eight PIM, 34 shots, 12 hits and eight blocks with the Avalanche as well as 12 points and 26 PIM in 36 regular-season games with the AHL’s Eagles. Ivan might get another chance to start in the NHL this campaign, but that position is not guaranteed. Even if he does make the team, he’ll probably serve in a bottom-six capacity, so look at 30 points as his best-case scenario for 2025-26.
