2025 Fantasy Outlook
After joining the Canadiens in April from the KHL, Demidov notched one goal and an assist in his NHL debut versus Chicago. However, he didn't find the scoresheet in his second regular-season outing. During Montreal's first-round playoff series against Washington, he earned two assists in Game 4, but he was held off the scoresheet in the other four contests. Still, the 19-year-old forward has tremendous upside going into his rookie season and is a top contender for the Calder Trophy. He should be a factor on the top power-play unit and see time in Montreal's top-nine forward group at even strength. Demidov has 60-point upside in the 2025-26 campaign. Read Past Outlooks
Tallies in Game 1 win
Demidov scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Hurricanes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
ANALYSIS
Demidov has scored in three of the last four games as he gets more comfortable with playoff hockey. The 20-year-old winger's goal Thursday put the Canadiens ahead 4-1 in the first period. He's earned three goals, five assists, 32 shots on net, 19 hits and a plus-2 rating over 15 playoff contests. Demidov is locked in on the second line and first power-play unit, with all but one of his points coming since the start of the second round.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
May have avoided serious injury
Demidov probably avoided a long-term injury to his wrist after getting slashed during Tuesday's preseason clash with Ottawa, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
ANALYSIS
Demidov enters the 2025-26 season as the favorite to take home the Calder Trophy as the NHL's top rookie. A lengthy injury absence not only would have impacted the Habs' early-season results but also could have opened the door for somebody else to take home that title. Despite being just 19 years of age, Demidov is projected to challenge for the 30-goal mark this year.
