January 2, 2026
Slukynsky posted an 18-save shutout in Western Michigan University's 4-0 win over the University of Notre Dame on Friday.
ANALYSIS
This was Slukynsky's second shutout of the season, and the third of his collegiate career. He's gone 13-6-0 this season while playing for one of the top-ranked teams in the NCAA. He's part of a fairly crowded goalie pipeline for the Kings, though the team lacks an obvious long-term option at the position. Slukynsky was selected by Los Angeles 118th overall in 2023.

Named to Team USA
GLos Angeles Kings  College
April 24, 2025
Slukynsky was named to the American team on Thursday for the upcoming IIHF World Hockey Championship in Sweden.
ANALYSIS
The 19-year-old freshman goaltender was instrumental in leading Western Michigan University to their first NCAA Men's Ice Hockey championship in 2024-25. Slukynsky, who was selected in the fourth round, 118th overall, in the 2023 Entry Draft by the Kings, was 19-5-1 with a 1.90 GAA and a .922 save percentage across 25 starts for Western Michigan this season. He also backstopped Team USA to the gold medal at the 2025 World Junior Hockey Championships. Look for Slukynsky to gain valuable experience as the third goalie at the World Championship for the Americans.
