2025 Fantasy Outlook
After a career year with 48 points in 2023-24, Hronek’s production dipped to 33 points last season, though he missed 21 games due to a lower-body injury. A pass-first defenseman that plays in all situations, Hronek is a useful depth option in upcoming drafts, but his offensive potential is limited by No. 1 defenseman Quinn Hughes. Hronek’s ability to transition the puck up the ice in a top-four role will keep him relevant in the form of assists, but he’s yet to hit the 10-goal mark in his seven-year career. That’s unlikely to change unless Hronek can get more pucks on net, as he’s never topped 148 shots on goal in a season. The 27-year-old may be able to get back to the 40-point threshold if he cuts down on turnovers -- he had 74 last campaign, 24 more than he had two seasons ago despite making 20 fewer appearances. Picks up two power-play assists
Hronek notched two power-play assists, three shots on goal, two blocked shots, two hits, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Mammoth.
ANALYSIS
Hronek has earned seven assists over his last seven outings, and six of them have come on the power play. The 28-year-old defenseman remains a strong all-around option, aside from an abysmal plus-minus rating that comes from playing big minutes on the league's worst team. Hronek has produced eight goals, 46 points, 119 shots on net, 123 hits, 97 blocked shots and a minus-19 rating through 76 appearances. He needs three more points to establish a new career high.

Hronek struggled with consistency in the 2023-24 campaign. He got off to a crazy start, recording three goals and 36 points over his first 42 contests, but the bottom fell out of his production over his final 39 outings, resulting in him collecting just two goals and 12 points over that span. That cold run extended into the playoffs, with him earning one goal and one assist across 13 appearances. Hronek's 48 points in the regular season still represented a career-high, but given how inconsistent he was in 2023-24, it's hard to see him replicating that success. It would be better to pencil him in for 30-40 points this season, which is more in line with what the 26-year-old has been able to do thus far in his career.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Good fit for Isles?
Hronek would need to waive his no-trade clause but would be a good trade target for the Islanders, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Hronek started the year with the 20-game goal drought during which he generated 11 helpers, including a trio of power-play assists. Over his last three appearances, the 28-year-old blueliner has found the back of the net twice while generating 11 shots on net. As a potential member of the Islanders, Hronek could work on the No. 2 power-play unit ahead of Tony DeAngelo.
