Gustavsson has also learned from a great mentor in Marc-Andre Fleury, whose retirement means Gustavsson should have more job security in 2025-26. The Wild are likely to roll with Jesper Wallstedt as the backup, though if he finds his way at the NHL level quickly, Gustavsson may see a smaller workload. Gustavsson has had high-end numbers in two of the last three years, and at 27 years old, he's firmly in his prime.
