Getting change of scenery
Svechkov was traded along with Zachary L'Heureux to Colorado from Nashville on Wednesday in exchange for Jack Drury, Chase Bradley and a 2029 third-round pick.
ANALYSIS
Svechkov recorded four goals, 17 points, 22 PIM and 60 hits in 70 regular-season outings with Nashville in 2025-26. The 23-year-old probably isn't going to get anything better than a bottom-six role as part of Colorado's strong forward corps.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Svechkov made his NHL debut in 2024-25 and totaled 52 appearances with Nashville, recording 17 points, 32 hits, 24 blocked shots and a minus-17 rating. His opportunity came about because many of the Predators' other players struggled throughout the campaign. Svechkov had 12 points in 13 regular-season outings and eight points in 10 playoff contests with AHL Milwaukee as well, but it's not expected for him to be a major factor on offense in the NHL in the long run. Still, it's encouraging that he was able to hold his own under less-than-ideal circumstances as a rookie. If the 22-year-old plays all of 2025-26 in the NHL, he should be a threat for 30-plus points while operating in a middle-six role.
