Del Mastro's offense took a significant dip in the minors, as he was limited to nine assists in 47 games with AHL Rockford, just one year after he had 37 points in 69 appearances. However, he earned six points in just 24 NHL games, earning 18:19 of ice time per outing with the Blackhawks. Perhaps Chicago wants him to focus on his defensive play, which would help him stay in the lineup in the NHL, but that would cost him some fantasy value.
