2026 Fantasy Outlook
An injury to Connor Hellebuyck afforded Comrie the chance to play a career-high 25 games in 2025-26. However, Comrie tended goal behind a paper tiger of a team that collapsed during Hellebuyck's absence in November and December. The results returned Comrie to a usual level of performance after his unexpectedly strong work in 2024-25. He went 12-11-1 with a 3.13 GAA and an .890 save percentage in 2025-26. The 31-year-old netminder has had three stints with the Jets, but it's unclear if he'll be back or if the team will turn to a prospect goalie to take on the backup role. Comrie is a fine No. 2 at the NHL level, but his fantasy value is limited to deep formats. Expect roughly 10 wins and league-average ratios at best. Read Past Outlooks

Comrie signed a two-year, $2.3 million contract with the Sharks on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Comrie made a career-high 25 regular-season appearances in the NHL with Winnipeg last year, going 12-11-1 with a 3.13 GAA and .890 save percentage. He's made at least 20 regular-season NHL appearances in back-to-back years and will likely have the opportunity to compete for a depth role with the Sharks during the 2026-27 campaign.

Comrie's third stint with the Jets started with a largely successful 2024-25 campaign, and he even reached the 20-game mark for the first time. He went just 9-10-1, but his 2.39 GAA and .914 save percentage were the best ratios of his career. He's under contract for another year, and as a veteran backup, he's a good fit to spell Connor Hellebuyck on occasion. However, that means Comrie rarely has enough playing time to sustain widespread fantasy appeal. With little change in his role expected for 2025-26, Comrie will be a fine streaming option when he starts, often in back-to-back sets, but he won't be an option in most standard fantasy formats due to a lack of starts.
