2025 Fantasy Outlook
While Pettersson had just three points in 28 games with the Canucks last season, his defensive play was strong enough to suggest that he'll be a regular in Vancouver for 2025-26. He stayed with the big club after the 4 Nations Face-Off and saw his ice time stabilize around the 14-15 minute mark late in the year. Pettersson doesn't have a ton of offense in his profile -- he put up just 13 points in 38 regular-season games with AHL Abbotsford last year -- but he has some room to grow. Look for him to start this season in a third-pairing role, and his play will dictate where he goes from there. Read Past Outlooks
Lights lamp in overtime win
Pettersson scored a goal and added four hits in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Pettersson ended an 11-game point drought with a tally at 9:21 of the first period. He's gotten a chance to play regularly in a bottom-four role lately, but there are still plenty of things for him to work on. The 22-year-old defenseman is at three goals, 10 points, 45 shots on net, 134 hits, 83 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-14 rating through 69 appearances this season.
