Luostarinen was unable to replicate his 43-point effort from 2022-23, falling back to 27 points in 2023-24 while playing in all 82 regular-season games for the second year in a row. The Finnish forward benefits from playing on a high-scoring team, as his third-line role for most other squads wouldn't lead to fantasy relevance. The downside to Luostarinen's role with the Panthers is that he rarely sees power-play time, making his scoring production prone to volatility from year to year. He should push for 30 points in 2024-25, and he should supplement his scoring with 100-plus hits and a positive plus-minus rating. He doesn't need to be drafted in all formats, but Luostarinen is a name to watch for in-season moves in fantasy.

Luostarinen had a solid breakout season in 2022-23, posting 17 goals, 26 assists, 132 shots on goal, 64 hits and a plus-19 rating over 82 games. He's got the talent to stick in a top-six role, and he's also sound enough defensively to drive play in a positive manner. Luostarinen saw some power-play time at points last year, but never consistently -- earning such a role full-time in 2023-24 would help raise his floor. Still 24 years old, he could grow into a 20-goal, 50-point player this year. He also has a little physical upside, though it's the offense that's most enticing in the Panthers' fast-paced system.

Luostarinen made the Panthers' Opening Night roster out of training camp, and he didn't fail to impress in the team's season opener, tallying one goal and one assist in 13:21 of ice time while skating on Florida's third line. The 22-year-old Finn appears to be locked into a bottom-six role, and if his season debut was any indication, he could threaten the 25-point mark during the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign.
