Samberg reached the 20-point mark for the first time in his career despite being limited to 60 regular-season appearances. Part of his success can be attributed to the Jets' overall play, but Samberg stepped up in his third full season, particularly as a steadying influence. It's unlikely he blossoms much more offensively, but he is a virtual lock as a top-four defenseman, once he recovers from a broken wrist suffered during preseason, who can chip in some points while adding 100-plus blocked shots and a plus-minus rating that is heavily on the positive side. Never known as much of an offensive threat, Samberg has developed into a steady, stay-at-home defender for the Jets. He did produce a career-high 18 points in 78 regular-season games this past year, but Samberg's main contributions came in his own zone. Still just 25 years of age, it's reasonable to expect further growth from the Minnesota native, but it almost certainly won't be enough to generate fantasy value, especially when you take into account Samberg's middling numbers in the hit and block departments.
