Shine has been a staple with AHL Grand Rapids since the 2016-17 campaign, but he finally got a crack at playing in the NHL in 2024-25. The 32-year-old appeared in just nine games with the Red Wings, though, collecting an assist,15 PIM and 16 hits. Unless injuries to Detroit’s forward group necessitate the Michigan native being forced into the lineup, Shine will continue to provide veteran leadership for the Griffins in 2025-26, which leaves him out of the fantasy picture. It wouldn't be surprising to see him head back to the minors before Detroit resumes play. Over 35 games with the Griffins this year, he's recorded 21 goals, 15 assists, 32 PIM and a plus-23 rating.
