Carlile will likely have a tough time getting NHL action in 2025-26 after taking a step back in the AHL with Syracuse last year. He scored a goal in three games with the Lightning but was limited to 16 points, 52 PIM and a plus-11 rating in 55 regular-season contests with the Crunch. Carlile has no obvious path to the NHL outside of serving as a seventh defenseman, which would lead to minimal ice time.
