2026 Fantasy Outlook
Pastrnak hit the century mark for the fourth straight season, finishing 2025-26 with 29 goals and 71 assists across 77 regular-season games for a Bruins club that's slowly building back toward contender status. The goal total dipped from his usual 40-plus range, but the playmaking surged with 23 power-play assists alongside 10 power-play goals to help offset a quieter even-strength scoring profile. He still fired 261 shots, added 72 PIM and 86 hits and reminded everyone that he carries Boston's offense almost single-handedly. At age 30 in 2026-27, Pastrnak should rebound toward the 40-goal mark with even modest improvement around him on the top line, and his floor stays elite. Treat him as a top-10 fantasy forward who quietly contributes across a wide range of categories. Read Past Outlooks

Even with the Bruins falling apart around him, Pastrnak put forth another dominant campaign in 2024-25. He had 43 goals and 106 points across 82 appearances, making it his fourth straight campaign with at least 40 goals and the third consecutive season in which he's surpassed the 100-point mark. He did that on a team that otherwise faltered offensively -- Boston averaged 2.71 goals in 2024-25, down from 3.21 in 2023-24 -- and even continued to excel over his final 18 outings of the season (11 goals, 28 points), which came after the Bruins had essentially conceded the season by trading Brad Marchand. That kind of resiliency only adds to the confidence fantasy managers should have in Pastrnak, even as the Bruins navigate murky waters. It also helps that he's played the full 82 games in three consecutive seasons and is still in his prime at the age of 29. Pastrnak should once again be competitive in the goal-scoring and points races in 2025-26.

Not close to returning?
Kevin Paul Dupont of The Boston Globe reports Tuesday that Pastrnak, who is dealing with an undisclosed injury, will be "down for a bit."
ANALYSIS
Pastrnak is set to miss his third straight game Tuesday in Detroit, and he didn't skate back in Massachusetts. Per Dupont, head coach Marco Sturm relayed that he wants to see the star winger in a few practices and at full strength before he returns to the lineup. While Pastrnak appears poised to miss a little bit of time, the Bruins are slated to get Viktor Arvidsson, who has been contending with a lower-body injury, back in the lineup Tuesday.
