January 2, 2026
Locmelis scored two goals in AHL Providence's 4-1 win over Hartford on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Locmelis has a pair of two-point efforts over his last three games. The Latvian forward has put forth a good performance in his first full AHL campaign, racking up 11 goals and eight assists through 29 contests. The 21-year-old forward probably won't get a call-up this season, as his development will be best suited by another year or two of strong AHL play.

CBoston Bruins  Minors
March 31, 2025
Locmelis will reportedly join AHL Providence for the rest of the 2024-25 campaign, per Scott McLaughlin of WEEI on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Locmelis put together a solid sophomore campaign at UMass this year in which he racked up eight goals and 25 assists in 40 contests. Selected by the Bruins in the fourth round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, the 21-year-old center figures to get his first taste of professional action when he links up with AHL Providence. He is still likely a couple of years away from contending for an NHL job.
