Gushchin produced 28 goals and 51 points in 56 regular-season appearances for AHL San Jose in 2024-25. The 23-year-old forward has displayed plenty of offensive upside at the minor-league level, but he didn’t get many NHL looks. Over the last three regular seasons, he skated in 18 games with the Sharks while providing two goals and three assists. Colorado acquired Gushchin in the offseason, and he could be in the mix for a bottom-six role for a spot on the Opening Night roster during training camp.
