2025 Fantasy Outlook
After a career year offensively in 2023-24 in which he notched 15 goals and 35 points in 81 games, Sissons plummeted to seven tallies and 14 assists in 72 appearances last campaign. He missed Nashville’s final nine contests because of a lower-body injury but should be ready for the beginning of 2025-26 after being traded to Vegas in the offseason. He had a 12.5 shooting percentage in the previous six seasons before operating at an 8.8 success rate in 2024-25, giving him some bounce-back appeal. He also notched five goals and 19 points in 28 games from late December to early March. Still, he probably won’t do enough offensively to warrant much fantasy attention outside of periods when he heats up to be worthy of a waiver-wire add. Sissons can also win plenty of faceoffs and provide hits. Read Past Outlooks
Strikes on power play in loss
Sissons scored a power-play goal and added two PIM in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Sissons scored midway through the second period, but he was the only Vegas player to solve Connor Hellebuyck in this contest. The power-play usage is fairly new for Sissons, who has been on and off the second unit all season but has two points with the man advantage over his last two games. For the season, the 32-year-old is at six goals, 11 points, 65 shots on net, 83 hits, 39 blocked shots and 19 PIM over 56 appearances. His bottom-six role at even strength is likely to keep his offense limited.

Sissons matched his previous bests of 15 goals and seven power-play points while recording a career-high 35 points in 81 regular-season games last year. His 1.62 shots per contest was also a new personal best, along with his 16:34 of average ice time. Sissons faded offensively down the stretch, contributing only three assists in his final 19 outings and posting one goal in six playoff appearances. Still, he could get a significant boost in 2024-25 if he centers the second line between newcomers Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault. There will be competition for that spot, and Stamkos could shift to the middle with a different winger moving up. Sissons is also likely to relinquish his position on the top power-play unit. If he can surpass 40 points while topping 100 shots and 150 hits, Sissons could be a good pickup in banger leagues.

Poised to play Tuesday
Sissons looks primed to return from an undisclosed injury against the Red Wings on Tuesday, per Sin Bin Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Sissons was working as the fourth-line center during Tuesday's game-day skate, which would seem to relegate Alexander Holtz to a spot in the press box as a healthy scratch. Prior to his two-game absence, Sissons was struggling to get onto the scoresheet, going nine games without a goal to open the year while chipping in just one assist.
