Graf was never drafted, but after excelling in the NCAA -- he had 43 goals and 108 points in 75 outings with Quinnipiac University between his sophomore and junior seasons -- he was given a three-year, entry-level contract with the Sharks in April of 2024. Since then, Graf has been a mixed bag. He’s excelled at the AHL level with eight goals and 35 points across 40 regular-season appearances with the Barracuda, but he’s been limited to five goals and 13 points in 40 career outings with the Sharks despite averaging a healthy 15:59 of ice time. Still just 22 years old (23 on Sept. 21), Graf has time left to develop, and he'll get a look during training camp as a middle-six option. He snapped a seven-game point drought with a helper Wednesday versus the Ducks before netting his 20th goal of the campaign in Thursday's win. This was also Graf's fourth game-winner of the season. The versatile 23-year-old has 42 points, 108 shots on net, 75 hits, 47 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 73 appearances. With the Sharks nearly at full health at forward, expect Graf to see most of his time on the third line for the rest of the campaign.
