2025 Fantasy Outlook
A dynamic defenseman with enormous offensive potential, Clarke exhibited flashes last season of why he was taken with the No. 8 overall pick in 2021. Over the first 41 games of 2024-25, the 22-year-old supplied three goals and 22 points, but across his last 37 appearances, Clarke contributed just two goals and 11 points while seeing his ice time decrease. The deceptively creative blueliner still needs to improve defensively, but Clarke's upside on offense is clear -- Clarke received 17.1 percent of shift starts in the offensive zone this past season, the highest mark among Kings defensemen. He might be sheltered again in 2025-26, but if he can earn a full-time role on the power play, Clarke should be able to reach the 40-point mark. He merits a late-round selection in all formats, but it’ll be worth monitoring what type of workload he receives early in 2025-26. Read Past Outlooks
Slides three helpers Saturday
Clarke distributed three assists, recorded two blocked shots and served two PIM in Saturday's 6-4 loss to New Jersey.
ANALYSIS
Clarke was heavily involved in the Kings' offensive efforts Saturday, picking up two primary helpers in the second period before sliding the secondary assist on Anze Kopitar's record-breaking goal in the third. Clarke's trio of apples Saturday elevated him to 29 on the season, which surpassed his previous career best of 28 through 78 regular-season games a year ago. Overall, the 23-year-old blueliner has 37 points, 129 shots on net and 134 blocked shots across 66 games this season. The young defenseman has taken a step up offensively this season while maintaining his defensive impact, as he's tied for 11th in the NHL in blocked shots. The future is bright for Clarke, who profiles as a solid defenseman in nearly all fantasy formats moving forward.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Through the previous two campaigns, Clarke has only managed to appear in 25 regular-season contests for the Kings. In those outings, the 21-year-old Ontario native notched two goals on 42 shots and six assists, including four power-play helpers. The blueliner is expected to make the full-time jump to the NHL this season and could be the quarterback for the No. 2 power-play unit. As such, at least a 40-point campaign could be in the offing for Clarke - especially after he averaged nearly a point per game in the minors last year (46 points in 50 games). That may be an ambitious mark considering his limited experience, but the fantasy upside is certainly there for Clarke if he can be a full-time NHL option.
