Imama signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Panthers on Wednesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Imama brings some grit to the lineup, but he hasn't shown much offense in the NHL. With the Penguins last season, he logged three hits and five PIM over two appearances in December. He also had six goals, five assists and 137 PIM in 66 regular-season games for AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Imama will probably spend most of 2026-27 in the AHL.

At 28 years of age, Imama is no longer considered a prospect, especially considering he has managed just 31 NHL games over the course of his four-year NHL career. In those appearances, the Montreal native has managed to register just two points. Imama figures to be a fringe roster player for the Penguins with minimal offensive upside this upcoming season and shouldn't be drafted in the majority of fantasy formats -- his peak is as a fourth-liner with extremely limited ice time.
