After being selected with the third overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft by Anaheim, Sennecke registered 36 goals and 86 points in 56 regular-season games for OHL Oshawa in 2024-25. He added 14 tallies and 18 assists in 18 playoff outings. The 19-year-old winger could be back in the junior ranks in the 2025-26 campaign, but he should get an extended look with the Ducks at training camp. Sennecke tied Scott Niedermayer (59:59 on Nov. 21, 2008) for the latest game-tying goal in Ducks history. Sennecke also became the first NHL rookie to score a game-tying goal in the final second of regulation while shorthanded. He has 26 points, including 10 goals, in 30 games, and he's the first rookie to hit the 25-point mark this season. It certainly seems like the talented rookie will get past that nine-game sample size and will remain with the Ducks going forward. He's posted two goals and two assists through the team's first four games along with six hits, two blocked shots and 10 shots on goal.
