Adam Fantilli

Adam Fantilli

20-Year-Old CenterC
Columbus Blue Jackets
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Fantilli had a strong rookie campaign with 12 goals and 27 points in 49 outings, but a leg injury prevented him from playing past Jan. 28. While it was a rough end to his campaign, it doesn't change the fact that the 19-year-old (20 on Oct. 12) has tremendous upside. Having already given Columbus a taste of what he can do, the rebuilding Blue Jackets will likely use him in a top-six capacity and on the first power-play unit. If that proves to be the case, then it wouldn't be surprising to see Fantilli jump to 50-60 points in his sophomore season, though of course there's some risk there given that his level of NHL experience is still relatively low. Grabs goal Saturday
CColumbus Blue Jackets
February 23, 2025
Fantilli scored a goal, took three shots on net and had four hits in Saturday's 5-1 win against the Blackhawks.
ANALYSIS
Fantilli tallied the final goal of the game for Columbus off a feed from linemate Kirill Marchenko. The No. 3 pick from the 2023 draft has 16 goals, 17 assists and 126 shots on net in 57 appearances this season. Fantilli has been a steady source of offensive production through the middle of the ice for Columbus with Sean Monahan (wrist) sidelined. He has 10 points in his last 10 games and continues to add value to his fantasy file. Between his combination of time on ice at even strength and on the power play, the 20-year-old has a chance to reach the 50-point mark in just his second season.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Blue Jackets fans are likely in for another painful season, but at least they'll get to watch Fantilli. He was taken with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft after scoring an incredible 30 goals and 65 points in 36 NCAA outings with the University of Michigan last season. The 18-year-old forward, who stands at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, will be able to use his size and strength to his advantage in the NHL, but as he showed with Michigan, he's more than just a big body. He's also fast and highly skilled offensively, with the potential to eventually become a top-line center. Taking a rookie is always a risk, but Fantilli appears to be far enough along in his development to record 40-50 points and 50-60 PIM in his first campaign.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might be available for Team Canada
CColumbus Blue Jackets
April 10, 2024
Fantilli, who hasn't played since Jan. 28 due to a lacerated calf, might still join Team Canada for the IIHF World Championship in May, according to Aaron Portzline of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Fantilli won't return for the Blue Jackets before the end of the 2023-24 campaign, but he might still recover in time for the World Championship. That would provide the 19-year-old with an opportunity to gain some extra experience ahead of his summer training. He will finish his rookie season with 12 goals and 27 points in 49 contests with Columbus.
