Axel Hurtig News: Secures three-year deal
Hurtig agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with Calgary on Wednesday.
The Flames selected Hurtig in the seventh round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. In 64 regular-season games with WHL Calgary in 2025-26, the 20-year-old blueliner notched six goals and 13 assists. He also has one goal and three points through three postseason contests. Given his age, Hurtig figures to make the jump to the professional ranks next season and should link up with AHL Calgary.
