Jumps to T24 at LIV South Africa
McKibbin posted a 14-under cumulative score at LIV Golf South Africa to finished in a six-way tie for 24th.
ANALYSIS
McKibbin was able to crack the top-25 thanks to his bogey-free, nine-under 62 third round Saturday, which was the best score of the tournament. Although he ranked near the bottom of the field in GIR, the Northern Irishman made up for it on the green, finishing second in putts per hole behind tournament winner Bryson DeChambeau. McKibbin joined the LIV Golf league in 2025 and started out strongly with three consecutive top-15 finishes, but he's opened 2026 with just one top-20 finish (T17 in Riyadh) through five tournaments. The next LIV Golf event won't take place until April 16 in Mexico, but McKibbin will tee off one week prior at The Masters, which will be his first appearance at Augusta National.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
McKibbin is a player that many are excited to see. The 22-year-old Northern Irishman is from the same area as Rory McIlroy and had a stretch his countryman would be proud of racking up 11 top-25s in 13 starts. In total last season, McKibbin notched 11 top-12 finishes and gained strokes off the tee in every single measured start. That driving ability is going to be a weapon on the PGA Tour, and the fact that he ended 2024 gaining strokes in six of his last seven starts on the greens was encouraging to see as well. It's still important to remember that playing in the U.S. is going to be a big adjustment for a young player like McKibbin, but all the tools are there.
