2026 Fantasy Outlook
Olesen's 2025 campaign was highglighted by a T14-T3-T14-T29 late-season stretch from the Sanderson Farms Championship to the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, which ultimately allowed him to finish 96th in the FedExCup Fall standings and retain full status for 2026. The 35-year-old Dane missed only eight cuts across 24 starts, ranking top 25 on Tour in each of SG: Putting, total driving and GIR percentage as well. If he's able to improve his proximity metrics, particularly from the 125-175 yard range, Olesen could be a sleeper candidate next season. Read Past Outlooks
Best Tour finish of 2026 in Houston
Olesen finished tied for 14th at the Texas Children's Houston Open after posting a 10-under cumulative score.
ANALYSIS
Olesen went two-under or better in each round at Memorial Park and went six-under across the final two rounds of the tournament. He ranked fifth in SG: Approach, T19 in GIR and in the top-30 in SG: Around-the-Green, birdies made and driving distance, though he finished near the bottom of the field in driving accuracy, SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Putting. Olesen opened the year with back-to-back top-10 finishes on the DP World Tour before missing the cut in four of five PGA Tour events, so his top-15 finish in Houston was an encouraging sign. He'll tee off at the Valero Texas Open next week, where he finished T14 in 2024 and T5 in 2025.

Olesen has now earned a PGA Tour card via his Race to Dubai standings for the second straight year. The Dane played last February through early August on the PGA Tour, but the rest of the time he spent on the DP World Tour. It's unclear the exact reason for that, but if he wants to focus heavily on both tours that will certainly limit his upside in salary cap formats. Olesen had only two top-25 finishes in 16 PGA Tour starts, but racked up five top-10s and nine top-25s in 12 DP World Tour starts. He's going to be a hard player to project, but cleary he's a quality golfer sitting inside the top-60 of the DataGolf rankings.
