2026 Fantasy Outlook
Lowry put together another solid campaign in 2025, but noticeably failed to win an individual event on the PGA Tour for the sixth straight season. In fact his last such victory was his triumph at the 2019 Open Championship. Lowry came close on two different occassions with runner-up finishes at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Truist Champioship, bested by Ryder Cup teammates Rory McIlroy and Sepp Straka, respectively. Lowry finished the season top 30 in both SG: Total and adjusted scoring average. It was another great ball striking season as Lowry landed inside the top 5 in SG: Approach, but it was the third consecutive year that he failed to crack the top 100 in SG: Putting. Lowry isn't getting any younger at age 38, but he certainly still has the tools to win when he puts it all together. He needs to get off to a fast start in 2026. Read Past Outlooks
Seventh in SG: T2G in Canada
Lowry carded a one-over 71 on Sunday at the RBC Canadian Open to finish eight-under and tied for 29th.
ANALYSIS
Lowry ranked seventh among the field in SG: Tee-to-Green and he converted 19 of 25 scrambling opportunities, but the Irishman also lost 2.26 strokes with the putter at TPC Toronto en route to just 14 total par-breakers across 72 holes. He's now gone 10 consecutive starts without a single top-20 result since his T2 at the Cognizant Classic, descending to 52nd in the FedExCup standings ahead of the U.S. Open.

Lowry has developed into one of the top iron players on Tour. He ranked 12th in SG: Approach in 2024, which marked the the fourth straight season he ranked in the top-30 of that category. The surprising thing is that Lowry had another poor season from a short game perspective, ranking outside the top-100 in SG: Around-the-Green and SG: Putting. He's only two seasons removed from ranking third in scrambling on the PGA Tour. Nevertheless, 2024 saw Lowry win his first PGA Tour event since his 2019 Open Championship triumph when he partnered with Rory McIlroy to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Lowry added six other top-10 finishes, with two of those coming in majors. His accuracy off the tee and approach give him a pretty high floor, but short game issues again could lead threaten his ceiling in 2025.
