2026 Fantasy Outlook
Gerard played well as a non-member during the 2024 season, but not many could have seen what he'd accomplish as a full-time member in 2025. Gerard laid the ground work for a solid season with a runner-up at the Valero Texas Open in April, and he capped a great season with a win at the Barracuda Championship in July. After that win, however, there wasn't much to write home about. Was that a result of a hangover after picking up his first PGA Tour win? Possibly, but whatever the reason for the lack of results at the end of the season, the bar has been set pretty high for a guy that we just don't know that much about. Gerard looks like he has the tools to be a top 30 player on the tour, but his success has come pretty quick. As such, it's probably wise to take a wait and see approach with Gerard this season. Falls short at the Memorial
June 7, 2026
Gerard lost to J.T. Poston on the second playoff hole of the Memorial Tournament.
ANALYSIS
Gerard opened the tournament nicely with scores of 67-69, but he was three strokes back of the clubhouse lead after an even-par 72 in the third round. He used a three-under back nine to finish with a four-under 68, but a playoff was needed after Poston made his birdie putt on the 18th hole to put both golfers at 12-under. Both players made par on the first playoff hole, but Gerard's tee shot on the second found the thick rough. His approach shot settled on the green nearly 60 feet away from the cup, and Gerard ultimately came up short after failing to match Poston's par. Gerard excelled with his putter, gaining 10.55 strokes in that category to lead the field at Muirfield. His 22 birdies were also most of the tournament, and he finished the event second T2 in GIR, sixth in SG: Approach and T11 in driving accuracy. The Memorial was Gerard's third runner-up finish of the season, with the first two taking place at the Sony Open and The American Express in January. He'll have two weeks to prepare for the U.S. Open Championship, where he finished T50 in 2025.
