2026 Fantasy Outlook
While his 2025 season wasn't as memorable as his 2024 campaign when he won twice on the PGA Tour, statistically he was actually better this past year. MacIntyre ranked inside the top 15 in both SG: Total and adjusted scoring average. His approach play took big strides in 2025 and really completed the only weakness that was in his game. Not many players on Tour can say they rank inside the top 60 in all strokes gained categories. MacIntyre was truly a few shots here and there in 2025 from it being another huge season. He finished second at both the U.S. Open and BMW Championship, which were two of his 11 top-20s on the PGA Tour. The Scot also added another home victory on the DP World Tour at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in the fall. Still just 29 years of age, MacIntyre has a lot of strong years ahead of him, and potentially a major in his future. Read Past Outlooks
Share of third on home soil
MacIntyre carded a one-under 69 in the final round of the Genesis Scottish Open to finish tied with Keita Nakajima, Johnny Keefer and Matt Fitzpatrick for third.
ANALYSIS
The Scottish-born MacIntyre had the crowd wholly behind him, and he found himself at the top of the leaderboard following a bogey-free, five-under 65 in the third round. He won this tournament back in 2024 and was in pole position to become the third player to win the Scottish Open multiple times, but those hopes were dashed after MacIntyre went three-over through the first 10 holes of the final round. He steadied himself by going four-under the rest of the way, which was enough for him to secure his fourth top-5 finish of the season and his best performance since his T2 at the Valero Texas Open in April. MacIntyre has three top-15 finishes over his last four outings and is trending in a positive direction heading into The Open Championship next week, where he's made the cut in each of his six prior outings, including T7 last year at Royal Portrush.

2022
MacIntyre earned his PGA Tour card for 2024 with his strong play on the DP World Tour in 2023. It was quite a struggle out of the gate for the Scot, but he started to really turn it around in late spring when he finished top-15 in three of four starts, including a T8 at the PGA Championship, before earning his first PGA Tour victory at the RBC Canadian Open. Just four starts later MacIntyre had one of the highlights of the year winning the Genesis Scottish Open by rolling in a lengthy putt on the 72nd hole becoming the first Scot to win his national open in 25 years. There's no doubt that MacIntyre has the distance and short game to find success on the PGA Tour for years to come. The question is if he can find more control approaching the greens. Not many of the earnings leaders on the PGA Tour rank outside the top-100 in SG: Approach as MacIntyre did in 2024.
