Rafael Campos

Rafael Campos

36-Year-Old Golfer
2025 Fantasy Outlook
It was looking like Campos was more than likely going to be heading back to the Korn Ferry Tour again after he struggled for much of 2024. Everything changed in mid-November when he welcomed his first child into the world and then a few days later got his first PGA Tour win at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Campos now has a two-year exemption and will be in the field for the Masters. Campos came into Bermuda having missed the cut in 13 of his previous 14 starts, so while it was a great story, he shouldn't really be on anyone's radar in salary cap formats. It's possible the win frees him up to play more consistent golf in 2025, but ranking outside the top-160 in SG: Total tells you there's a long way to go before that happens. Read Past Outlooks
Captures first PGA Tour vicotry
November 17, 2024
Campos fired a final round three-under 68 to claim the victory at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship by three shots.
ANALYSIS
Campos began the day tied for the lead and had an uneventful start in which he played the first five holes in one-over before carding a birdie and an eagle on the next two holes. A pair of birdies to start the back-nine extended his lead to three, and he held at least a two-shot lead from there to coast to his first PGA Tour victory. Campos made just six bogeys the entire week and led the field in scrambling. The win secures Campos' Tour card through the 2026 campaign.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2020
2019
Although he missed 10 cuts on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023, Campos earned a PGA Tour card for the 2024 season on the strength of a runner-up finish at the KFT's Compliance Solutions Championship in late June, and he recorded eight total top-25s this past season. The 35-year-old ranked 13th on the KFT in driving distance and fourth in total eagles, posting a 4.57 par-5 scoring average in the process. Campos made the cut in just seven of 25 starts during his last full season at the PGA Tour level in 2020-21.
Campos' rookie campaign was cut short in January due to an undisclosed injury, so he's been sidelined since a missed cut at the American Express. It's unclear at this point when he'll be able to return to tournament action, but his fall series included a top-25 performance at the Bermuda Championship. Upon his eventual return, the 32-year-old Puerto Rican will look to get back to the form that carried him to a victory at the Korn Ferry Tour's Bahamas Great Abaco Classic in 2019.
The 31-year-old Puerto Rican already owns a trio of top-10s in 17 career starts on the PGA Tour since 2008, but Campos will still qualify for rookie status throughout the upcoming season with no more than four events played in a single campaign up to this point. Campos has spent the majority of his past four seasons on the Korn Ferry Tour, finally picking up his first win as a professional in 2019 at the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic back in late January. He only notched one other top-10, but the win early on in the season was good enough to keep him inside of the top-25 on the KFT's Regular Season Points List. Campos' ball striking was occasionally a concern as he fell to 108th in GIR percentage, but he's 40th in birdie average and 22nd in scrambling.
