2026 Fantasy Outlook
Taylor became a five-time winner on the PGA Tour when he prevailed in a playoff at the Sony Open early in 2025. It was a pretty solid campaign all around that included 12 top-25 finishes. He ranked top 40 on Tour in SG: Total and scoring average. The Canadian has developed into a consistent ball striker ranking top 30 in driving accuracy and SG: Approach. Taylor's short-game and putting is also on the plus side for a Tour player as well. The 37-year-old has won a tournament each of the last three years, and it's hard to put it past him from being able to find his way into the win column again in 2026 given how solid he is all the way through the bag. That said, Taylor's ceiling is somewhat limited considering that he hasn't had more than three top-10s in either of the last two seasons. Read Past Outlooks
Struggles on greens at Harbour Town
Taylor closed with a one-over 72 on Sunday at the RBC Heritage to finish three-under and tied for 60th.
ANALYSIS
Taylor's final round at Harbour Town was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 fifth hole where he hit his second shot from 265 yards out to 20 feet before sinking the putt, but he played the next three holes in a collective three-over-par to quickly lose momentum. The Canadian ultimately ranked just 78th of 82 in SG: Putting for the week, converting only 13 of 26 total scrambling opportunities in the process. Taylor has now gone seven consecutive starts without a top-25 result, falling to 59th in the FedExCup standings.

Taylor might be the most obscure four-time winner on the PGA Tour. The reason is, even though he won twice in his first eight seasons, he rarely finished inside the top-100 come the end of the season. Consistency was a problem during those early years as he rarely posted more than two top-10s in any one season. That changed in 2023, however, as not only did he pick up his third win, but he also posted two other top-3s and a total of 14 top-25s. 2024 wasn't quite as good, but he did manage to find yet another win on his way to just over $3 million in earnings. Taylor's ceiling is around $6 million, but it's unlikely he'll get back to that level this year. With that said, he could easily finish somewhere between his 2023 and 2024 numbers this year, leaving him an intriguing salary cap option this season.
