Kris Ventura

31-Year-Old Golfer
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Ventura will be playing off conditional status in 2026 after finishing 115th in the FedExCup Fall. A closer look at the numbers showed he played better than that as he ranked 88th in SG: Total and 43rd in scoring average. Ventura ranked sixth in total driving, 33rd in GIR percentage, 21st in proximity and 33rd in SG: Putting. There's a lot of positives to work with there, and even with limited starts, he could certainly out earn a number of full status players if he takes that type of game into 2026. Read Past Outlooks
T2 at Zurich Classic
April 26, 2026
Ventura and Kristoffer Reitan finished tied for second at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with a 30-under cumulative score, one stroke back of winners Matt Fitzpatrick and Alex Fitzpatrick.
ANALYSIS
Ventura and Reitan put themselves in a good spot to force a playoff after posting a seven-under 65 score Sunday, capping the round off with an eagle on the par-5 18th. It was enough for the duo to be tied with Alex Smalley and Hayden Springer at the top of the leaderboard, but a three-team playoff did not end up happening after the Fitzpatrick brothers carded a birdie on the 18th to seal the one-stroke victory. For Ventura and Reitan, both were seeking the first PGA Tour win of their respective careers, but that will have to wait for another time. Ventura is not listed in the field for the Cadillac Championship next week, but Reitan is.

2019
The 29-year-old Oklahoma State University product has earned a PGA Tour card for the first time since 2020-21, finishing 24th on the Korn Ferry Tour's 2024 Points List thanks in large part to a runner-up effort at the Argentina Open back in early March, where he lost in a playoff. He ultimately ranked eighth on the KFT in GIR percentage and 10th in total driving, notching 10 top-25s throughout 23 total starts.
Ventura has a nice combination of above-average length off-the-tee and great putting but that only translated to a best finish of T18 last year. He also struggled to get into a lot of Tour events late in the year, with four starts on each the PGA and Korn Ferry Tour's since the re-start of play. Ventura is young and did win twice on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019, but he's probably still a couple of years away from being relevant on the PGA Tour.
Ventura broke 70 in just two of eight rounds at the PGA Tour level throughout the 2018-19 season, but he enjoyed a successful Korn Ferry Tour campaign that included wins at the Utah Championship and Pinnacle Bank Championshp to accompany a pair of third-place finishes at the BMW Charity Pro-Am and WinCo Foods Portland Open as well. Despite appearing in just nine events, Ventura managed to rank fourth in the KFT's Regular Season Points List as he positioned himself comfortably inside of the OWGR's top-200 by mid-August. Ventura is linked to rising star Viktor Hovland as the Norwegian duo each enjoyed successful collegiate careers as Oklahoma State Cowboys before turning professional.
