2026 Fantasy Outlook
Nakajima did everything but win in 2025 logging a trio of runner-up finishes on the DP World Tour. He added another solo fourth at the Betfred British Masters. Those top finishes helped him to land amongst the top 10 in the DP World Tour Eligibility Rankings, which will give him full status on the PGA Tour in 2026. Nakajima ranked 24th in SG: Off-the-Tee, 15th in driving accuracy, 20th in scrambling and 36th in SG: Putting on the DP World Tour last season. Misses the cut at Royal Birkdale
Nakajima posted a three-over cumulative score through two rounds at The Open Championship to miss the cut by two strokes.
ANALYSIS
The Japanese-born Nakajima entered Royal Birkdale with plenty of momentum following his T3 performance last week at the Genesis Scottish Open, which was the best finish of his young PGA Tour career. He couldn't replicate that success at The Open and got off to a rough start with a double bogey on the first hole of the opening round, ending the day with a three-over 73. He was a little bit better Friday with an even-par 70, but it wasn't enough for him to make the one-over cut line. Nakajima will tee off at the 3M Open next week for the first time in his career.
