Gumberg posted a 19-under cumulative score at the Hainan Classic on the DP World Tour to win the tournament by one stroke over Jorge Campillo.
ANALYSIS
Gumberg raced out to the top of the leaderboard with an eight-under 64 first round before following that up with a six-under 66 on Friday. He went five-under over the final two days of the tournament, but the early cushion he built for himself was enough to hold off Campillo and the rest of the field. It was the second DP World Tour victory in Gumberg's career, with his first taking place in March of 2024 at the SDC Championship. It was a much-needed win for the American, as his T28 at the Joburg Open two weeks prior was his best finish of the 2026 season. Gumberg will look to carry his momentum into the Hero Indian Open next week.
