2026 Fantasy Outlook
Highsmith struggled as a rookie in 2023, so much so that he lost his card for the following season. One start at the Cognizant Classic in February changed his fate for the next two years, however. Highsmith somehow won that event and secured his card for the next two seasons. He failed to show any consistency after that, but he did managed to post top-20s at the PLAYERS and the PGA Championship. In that sense, it was a dream year for Highsmith after struggling so much in his firs go-round on the PGA Tour. Highsmith was one of the great stories from 2025, but it's hard to imagine he can improve upon his performance from this past year this season. As such, he's not a salary cap candidate this season. Third-straight missed cut
May 29, 2026
Highsmith posted a 76-68 scorecard over two rounds at the Charles Schwab Challenge to miss the cut by six strokes.
ANALYSIS
Highsmith had a steep hill to climb after going six-over in the first round, though he made a good run of it Friday by going five-under through 11 holes, only to end the day with a double bogey on the par-4 ninth. Most of his strokes lost came with his iron play, finishing his two rounds with an SG: Approach of minus-5.28. Highsmith has failed to crack the top-30 across 15 PGA Tour events this season, including seven missed cuts. He is not listed in the field for the Memorial Tournament next week.

2025
2024
A T6 in Puerto Rico and a T21 in Houston were the only top-30 finishes Highsmith had before he got red hot in the fall to lock up his PGA Tour card for 2025. Even though Highsmith missed double digit cuts as a rookie, he could post a lot of red numbers as he ranked top-15 on Tour in birdie average. There were positives to take from all parts of his game finishing top-60 on Tour in total driving, GIR percentage, SG: Around-the-Green and putts per GIR. If Highsmith can carry the momentum from the fall into the start of 2025 he will be able to set himself up for a quality season.
A key member of Pepperdine University's NCAA Championship team in 2021, Highsmith earned All-American honors twice before racking up 10 top-25s during his first full Korn Ferry Tour season in 2023. He tied for third at the KFT Championship on the heels of a T2 at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship, and he finished the year ranked third in total driving and ninth in par breakers.
