2026 Fantasy Outlook
Highsmith struggled as a rookie in 2023, so much so that he lost his card for the following season. One start at the Cognizant Classic in February changed his fate for the next two years, however. Highsmith somehow won that event and secured his card for the next two seasons. He failed to show any consistency after that, but he did managed to post top-20s at the PLAYERS and the PGA Championship. In that sense, it was a dream year for Highsmith after struggling so much in his firs go-round on the PGA Tour. Highsmith was one of the great stories from 2025, but it's hard to imagine he can improve upon his performance from this past year this season. As such, he's not a salary cap candidate this season. Another missed cut
Highsmith missed the cut by one stroke at the Texas Children's Houston Open.
ANALYSIS
Highsmith gave himself a chance to make it to the weekend after back-to-back birdies on the 16th and 17th holes of the second round, but he was unable to sink his 25-foot birdie putt on the 18th. He's finished T42 or worse in all nine of his PGA Tour outings this season, including four missed cuts. Highsmith will look to turn his season around at the Valero Texas Open, where he finished T51 in his debut outing at TPC San Antonio in 2024.

2024
A T6 in Puerto Rico and a T21 in Houston were the only top-30 finishes Highsmith had before he got red hot in the fall to lock up his PGA Tour card for 2025. Even though Highsmith missed double digit cuts as a rookie, he could post a lot of red numbers as he ranked top-15 on Tour in birdie average. There were positives to take from all parts of his game finishing top-60 on Tour in total driving, GIR percentage, SG: Around-the-Green and putts per GIR. If Highsmith can carry the momentum from the fall into the start of 2025 he will be able to set himself up for a quality season.
