Molinari went under-par in all four rounds at The Renaissance, with his three-under 67 on Saturday being his best score of the tournament. Out of the 71 players who made the cut, Molinari ranked fourth in both driving accuracy and SG: Approach, T6 in GIR, T11 in birdies and 25th in SG: Off-the-Tee, though he also ranked 54th and 65th in SG: Putting and Around-the-Green, respectively. Molinari had a very average year by his standards and did just enough to sneak inside the top 150. Since joining the PGA Tour in 2014, he’s typically played between 15 and 20 events per year (17 in 2022) and usually ends up finishing somewhere just outside the top 100 in earnings. Both of those things held true again this year, and it would be reasonable to expect a very similar outcome in 2023. One possibility of note: Molinari could elect to play more DP World Tour events as he narrows his U.S. schedule.
