2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lipsky will enter 2025 with momentum having closed the year with back-to-back top-10s to finish in the top-100 of the FedExCup. The highlight of his year came in Napa, where he started the fall with a runner-up finish for his first top-5 since January of 2023. Lipsky is one of the shortest drivers on Tour and gained strokes off the tee in just six tournaments, and he's been a consistently below average putter as well which doesn't give the rest of his game much margin for error. For fantasy purposes, Lipsky doesn't provide much upside and managers are better off looking elsewhere. Read Past Outlooks
Posts top-10 in Mexico
November 11, 2024
Lipsky carded a four-under 67 in the final round of the World Wide Technology Championship to finish tied for sixth place.
ANALYSIS
Lipsky began the day four shots off the lead and had a solid bogey-free round with an eagle and three birdies, but he had to settle for his third top-10 of the year. He stood out statistically by ranking tied for first in driving accuracy and scrambling for the tournament. After starting the fall outside the top-125 in the FedExCup Standings, Lipsky sits 103rd and has locked up his Tour card for 2025.

Lipsky did just enough to finish inside the top-100 in the FedEx Cup Standings but the way he finished the season leaves cause for concern as he managed just one top-25 finish across his final 13 events. He's put behind the eight-ball by a lack of length, ranking 162nd in driving distance, so it's no surprise that his best results came on short venues (Waialae, Bermuda). While most short hitters usually feature a strong short game, that's another area that Lipsky struggles in. As a result, it's hard to imagine a resurgent season at this point in his career.
Lipsky was rookie on Tour last season after playing primarily overseas for most of his career and recorded a pair of top-10s against weak fields with a best finish of T-6. He did flash above average iron play (40th in strokes-gained approach) and there's room to improve if he can make strides in his short game. He's a solid cut maker that should find himself in contention more often this season.
Lipsky has never appeared in more than five events in a single PGA Tour season, but a T8 at June's Palmetto Championship earned him a six-figure paycheck for the first time at this level. On the Korn Ferry Tour in 2020-21, Lipsky finished 12th on the regular season points list with three second-place results and a win at the 2020 TPC San Antonio Challenge at the Canyons. Lipsky also recently tied for fourth at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship during the second leg of the KFT Finals.
A win at July's TPC San Antonio Challenge accompanied by a T2 at the WinCo Foods Portland Open contributed to Lipsky's positioning inside the top 10 in the Korn Ferry Tour's points list. Lipsky ball striking throughout the 2020 campaign wasn't all that impressive as he ranked 52nd in total driving and 65th in GIR percentage, but he was sixth in birdie or better conversion and 16th in putting average. He possesses a decent amount of PGA Tour experience with 15 total starts since 2015, though he should still retain rookie eligibility ahead of the 2020-21 season.
