2026 Fantasy Outlook
Davis got off to a strong start in 2025, posting a top-20 in three of the first four events, highlighted by a top-5 showing at Pebble Beach. The momentum stalled thereafter, however, as that was his only top 10 all year, and he missed the cut in 11-of-23 starts. He elected to skip the fall season entirely, taking over four months off before playing in his home country of Australia in late November. Davis lost shots in every strokes gained category this season and isn't nearly as long off the tee as he used to be. The two-time Tour winner has shown ups-and-downs before, but there's plenty of reason to be skeptical that he can find his old form again. Read Past Outlooks
Withdraws from Houston Open
Davis has withdrawn from the Texas Children's Houston Open without an injury designation, per Rob Bolton of PGATour.com.
ANALYSIS
Davis will withdraw from the Houston Open without an injury tag. The 31-year-old Aussie will be hoping to use the week off to get turn things around, as he has missed three consecutive cuts as well as five of his last seven tournaments. His next opportunity will come during the Valero Texas Open starting on April 2.

The 2024 season was a bit of a mixed bag for Davis as his earnings number dropped by 20%, but he did pick up his second PGA Tour win. Though he picked up his first win on the PGA Tour in 2021, it was his 2023 season that was the real break through. Davis topped $5 million in earnings that season behind eight top-10s. This past season saw a massive drop in consistency as Davis could only muster two top-10s, but a win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic saved what would have been a fairly disappointing season. Davis is just 30 and he should be nearing his peak, so there's no reason to panic, but with only one high-level consistent season under his belt, we have to wonder where his ceiling is.
