Schmidt posted a four-under 66 in the final round of the Magical Kenya Open to finish in a four-way tie for 14th.

ANALYSIS
The final round was a roller coaster for Schmidt, who went five-under on the front nine before going one-over on the back with four bogeys and three birdies. He ranked fifth in the field in par-5 scoring, 10th in SG: Off-the-Tee and 18th in SG: Putting, though he ranked near the bottom of the field in SG: Approach-the-Green and bogeys made. Schmidt has finished T16-T14 over his last two DP World Tour outings and will tee off at next week's Investec South African Open Championship for the first time in his career. He also participated in the first two LIV Golf tournaments of the 2026 season as a fill-in for Majesticks GC co-captain Lee Westwood (wrist), with Schmidt finishing T41 and T44 in Riyadh and Adelaide, respectively.
