Wins Argentina Open
Docherty posted a 22-under cumulative score at the 119 Visa Argentina Open on the Korn Ferry Tour to win the tournament by one stroke over Chris Korte and S.Y. Noh.
ANALYSIS
Docherty entered the final round tied with Noh at the top of the leaderboard, with the former scoring 63-66-64 over the first three days of the tournament. Docherty put together a strong five-under 65 final round, and his birdie on the par-4 18th proved to be the difference maker as he was able to hold off Noh and a late surge from Korte. It was Docherty's first Korn Ferry Tour victory in his career and a welcome sight for the American after his T2 finish at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic in mid-January. The victory gives Docherty an exemption to The Open at Royal Birkdale Gold Club in mid-July. He'll be in the field for next week's Astara Chile Classic.
