2026 Fantasy Outlook
Potgieter was perhaps the most erratic golfer on the PGA Tour this past season. Potgieter posted a runner-up in Mexico in February, then a long dry spell until a T6 in late May, followed by an inexplicable win the next week. After that, another long dry spell that lasted through the end of the season. In total, it was three top-10s and the one win, which vaulted him into the top 60 on the money list at year's end. Potgieter is just 21-years-old, and he came out of nowhere in 2025, so there's a lot to learn about him in the coming years. Potgieter's ceiling could be much higher than what we saw this past year, but his lack of consistency is a little concerning. As such, it's best to take a wait and see approach with him this season, especially in salary cap leagues. Read Past Outlooks
Poor 2026 continues at PB
Potgieter finished in a four-way tie for 60th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am after carding a five-under cumulative score.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old South African missed the cut in each of his three PGA Tour outings prior to Pebble Beach, and things didn't get much easier for Potgieter as he finished the tournament with a 74-70-68-71 card. He did rank second in the field in driving distance and 12th in SG: Off-the-Tee, though he lost 8.8 strokes in his approach to the green and finished T54 and T62 in driving accuracy and GIR, respectively. Potgieter has failed to make the cut in 15 of 24 Tour events dating back to the start of the 2025 season.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
The South African becomes a PGA Tour rookie at just 20 years old, having won the Korn Ferry Tour's Great Abaco Classic as a 19-year-old back in January of 2024 before ultimatley finishing the KFT season with three top-10s and five top-25s. Potgieter paced the entire KFT in driving distance while ranking fourth in total eagles, though he needs to make improvements with his short game in order to find similar success at the next level.
