2026 Fantasy Outlook
Scott finally started to show signs of his age in 2025, making just 18 starts while failing to post a top-10 after recording at least three top-5s in each of the previous three seasons. The primary reason for the drop off was a poor year on the greens, where he ranked 122nd in SG: Putting. It's unclear what his schedule will look like considering he isn't locked into the Signature Events, although he'd likely get some sponsor exemptions. Scott still has plenty of length regardless of his age and a strong tee to green game, but he's also coming up on nearly six years without a win. Read Past Outlooks
Tied for 30th at Torrey Pines
Scott fired a four-under 68 in the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open to finish tied for 30th.
ANALYSIS
Scott came to Torrey Pines on the back of a top-25 finish in his last tournament start. He was able to get off to a good start this week on the North Course with a bogey free four-under 68 in his opening round. Scott however struggled when he switched to the South Course. After going 71-73 on Friday and Saturday, Scott fell down the leaderboard and out of the mix. But, Scott rebounded nicely in his final round on Sunday, as he notched four birdies, an eagle, and only two bogeys. For the week, Scott can take away some positives including a top-5 performance off the tee as he ranked fifth in SG: Off-the-tee gaining just over three strokes on the field. Scott now ranks 36th in the FedEx Cup rankings after the month of January.

Scott is aging like fine wine. At 44 he looks as strong as ever ranking 17th in SG: Total and eighth in adjusted scoring average last season. He gained strokes across the board and only missed two cuts in 19 starts. Scott had a tremendous finish to the FedExCup season going 2nd-T10-T18-T2-T4 over his final five starts. There's really no reason to think he would slow down much in 2025 given the numbers he put up. Scott will be keen on getting back in the winner's circle for the first time since 2020.
