2026 Fantasy Outlook
Scott finally started to show signs of his age in 2025, making just 18 starts while failing to post a top-10 after recording at least three top-5s in each of the previous three seasons. The primary reason for the drop off was a poor year on the greens, where he ranked 122nd in SG: Putting. It's unclear what his schedule will look like considering he isn't locked into the Signature Events, although he'd likely get some sponsor exemptions. Scott still has plenty of length regardless of his age and a strong tee to green game, but he's also coming up on nearly six years without a win. Read Past Outlooks
T66 at Genesis Scottish Open
Scott fired a one-under 69 on Sunday at the Genesis Scottish Open to finish two-over and tied for 66th.
ANALYSIS
Scott recorded three scores of one-under 69 throughout his week at The Renaissance Club, but he struggled in Round 3 on Saturday when he hit just three fairways and eight greens in regulation while losing 4.09 strokes with his ball striking and another 2.44 strokes putting. Nonetheless, he ended the event ranked 27th among the field in scrambling and 25th in overall proximity. On a less positive note, he's now placed T66-65-MC across three starts since his T12 at the Memorial Tournament, falling to 35th in the FedExCup standings. Scott will look to rebound at The Open Championship hosted by Royal Birkdale, where he finished T16-T22 in 2008 and 2017.

Scott is aging like fine wine. At 44 he looks as strong as ever ranking 17th in SG: Total and eighth in adjusted scoring average last season. He gained strokes across the board and only missed two cuts in 19 starts. Scott had a tremendous finish to the FedExCup season going 2nd-T10-T18-T2-T4 over his final five starts. There's really no reason to think he would slow down much in 2025 given the numbers he put up. Scott will be keen on getting back in the winner's circle for the first time since 2020.
