2024 Fantasy Outlook
Taken 24th overall in the 2022 Draft, Smith has settled in at left guard for the Cowboys after bouncing between guard and tackle as a rookie. Smith will team with 2024 first-round pick Tyler Guyton to form a very young, but impressively talented, left side of the Dallas offensive line. Read Past Outlooks

Smith suffered an ankle injury during Monday's 34-10 loss to the Texans, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
The starting left guard had to leave the game and did not return. Smith has started all 10 games for the Cowboys this year, but now his status will be worth monitoring as the week goes on. T.J. Bass is his backup.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
The 24th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Smith was expected to begin his career at left guard, but the Tulsa product would up seeing plenty of action at left tackle as Tyron Smith once again battled injuries. The duo will once again protect Dak Prescott's left side, with the younger Smith handling the guard spot as long as Tyron stays healthy.

Position uncertain for 2024
OGDallas Cowboys
March 25, 2024
The Cowboys are still undecided on whether Smith will play left tackle or left guard next season, David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Long-time left tackle Tyron Smith signed with the Jets in free agency, leaving the Cowboys with a big hole to fill on Dak Prescott's blind side. Tyler Smith did just that as a rookie for most of his first pro season in 2022, but he shifted inside and was a second-team All-Pro at left guard in 2023. The departure of starting center Tyler Biadasz might also encourage Dallas to keep Smith at guard, rather than trying to find two new starters on the interior offensive line. The team holds the 24th overall selection in the 2024 Draft, and there figure to be a number of intriguing tackle prospects still on the board at that point. Selecting one of them would go a long way toward clarifying Smith's role for 2024.
