December 22, 2024
Flowers went down with a shoulder injury and will not return to Sunday's outing against the Titans, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
ANALYSIS
Flowers hurt his shoulder in the first half of Sunday's matchup, and it appears to be serious enough that he won't return to the field. The veteran cornerback logged one tackle before leaving the game.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2018
Flowers showed some promise in his rookie season after converting from safety to corner, but he didn't make a major leap forward. Still, the 24-year-old made some improvements by allowing 7.0 yards per target and just one touchdown over 15 games. Despite this, the Seahawks brought in competition by trading for Quinton Dunbar, so Flowers' role is highly uncertain for 2020.
As a rookie fifth-round pick who was converted from safety to cornerback in 2018, Flowers exceeded all expectations. He learned quickly and became a starter instantly. It didn't take long for Flowers to also become the team's most dependable cornerback while Shaquill Griffin struggled, and he ended the campaign with 67 tackles and six pass breakups. Flowers needs to avoid the sophomore slump Griffin had and begin making more plays on the ball, but if he can accomplish that, he would have some relevance in IDP leagues.
Due to hip injuries to Dontae Johnson and Byron Maxwell, Flowers will be the starting right cornerback to kick off the season. A fifth-round pick in April's Draft, Flowers is still raw and working through his conversion to cornerback form safety. We haven't seen him play against an opponent's starting unit yet, so it's tough to project whether he's a viable IDP option.

Flowers took a free agent visit with the Panthers on Tuesday,Field Yates of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Most of the current NFL news is centered around the draft, but Flowers is a five-year veteran. He's played for both the Bengals and Seahawks, and he was primarily limited to special teams duties in 2022. With Donte Jackson and Jaycee Horn projected to start as Carolina's corners in 2023, Flowers would likely continue to take on a depth role if he signs with the Panthers.
