Jenkins agreed to terms on a contract with the Browns on Tuesday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jenkins offers valuable depth at offensive guard behind Wyatt Teller, and the 28-year-old started multiple games for his injured teammate down the stretch last season. Jenkins' solid track record earned him another contract in Cleveland despite the arrival of a new coaching staff.

Jenkins joined the Browns on a one-year deal after four seasons with the Bears, for whom he played a career-high 14 games (all as a starter) at left guard in 2024. He's mostly played guard but also made three starts at tackle as a rookie in 2021 and should provide depth at both positions. Cleveland's giving him $2.67 million in guaranteed money, which suggests he's in their plans.
Since being drafted in the second round of the 2021 draft, Jenkins has dealt with durability issues and a position change. The veteran has missed 20 games in three years. After being moved from tackle to left guard, he has been a solid player who is in little danger of losing his starting role.
Jenkins is entering his third year with the Bears. After missing 11 games as a rookie offensive tackle, he moved to guard and played 13 games last year. He's expected to be a clear starter on the interior this season.
After being selected in the second round of the 2021 draft, Jenkins was recovering from back surgery and played in just six games. Entering this season fully healthy, he'll be expected to serve as the left tackle and realize the upside the Bears hoped for when drafting him.
Not only did the Bears draft Jenkins in the second round of the 2020 draft, but they released tackle Charles Leno, so Jenkins is fully expected to function as the team's starting left tackle, and he could quickly become the best lineman on the team, and hopefully, a centerpiece of the offense for years to come.

Drawing interest from Cincy
OGChicago Bears
March 11, 2025
The Bengals have interest in signing Jenkins, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
The Bengals have fortified their defensive line early in free agency, but they have a void at guard following the release of Alex Cappa. Jenkins has been a reliable run blocker throughout his career, and the 27-year-old took a step forward as a pass blocker in 2024. That should lead to a multi-year deal this offseason, whether with the Bengals or another squad.
