Adderly is on track to pick up right where he left off as the starting free safety for the Chargers in 2021. The former second-round pick was sidelined for two games with hip and ankle injuries, but ultimately finished the year with career-highs in tackles (99) and passes defensed (five). The Chargers did draft JT Woods in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft to replace Adderley who enters 2022 on the final year of his rookie deal, but the starting free safety is still expected to be a core piece of the secondary led by fellow safety Derwin James.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Ends retirement Tuesday
Adderley, who abruptly retired from the Chargers following the 2022 season, signed with the Colts on Tuesday, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Adderley had announced his intentions to return to the NFL in February, citing "health, family and entrepreneurship" as having been his main motivators for walking way from the game three years ago. However, Adderley added he hadn't realized how much he'd miss football, leading to his decision to return. Adderley recently conducted a workout with Indianapolis and made enough of an impression to subsequently receive an offer.
