Seeking trade out of Indy
Moore and the Colts have mutually agreed to seek a trade for the veteran cornerback, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Moore is set to carry a cap hit of $13.2 million in 2026, but the Colts could save more than $7 million by trading or releasing Moore. Sauce Gardner (calf) and Charvarius Ward (concussion) are poised to lead Indianapolis' cornerback room in 2026, assuming Ward doesn't opt to retire. Moore has spent nine seasons in Indianapolis, appearing in 132 regular-season games. The 30-year-old cornerback plays primarily in the slot.

Moore plays primarily as a slot corner, though that shouldn't be confused with him having a limited role in the Colts' defense. Only Zaire Franklin was on the field more than Moore in 2023 - by a single snap - and he continued to prove himself as one of the elite turnover generators in the league. His three picks marked the fifth multi-interception campaign in his seven-season career, and he continued to show his playmaking ability with the ball in his hands by tallying two touchdowns. With Moore's track record, there shouldn't be much doubting his ability to produce, but he inked a three-year, $30 million extension with the Colts this offseason to cement his role with the team.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Given permission to seek trade
Moore has received permission from the Colts to seek a trade, Stephen Holder and Adam Schefter of ESPN report.
ANALYSIS
Moore is entering the final year of his contract, and while he tells Holder he remains on good terms with the team, both parties apparently agree it's time for him to move on. The Colts have been willing to part ways with several veteran players this offseason, and with fellow corners Sauce Gardner and Charvarius Ward both already on lucrative contracts, Moore is a natural candidate to be moved off the roster.
